From the artist: this has perhaps been one of my most attempted subjects ever. I’ve started a work about red riding hood about a dozen times and always thrown them out before finishing. With this one, though, I finally found one I like that capture that more medieval take on the subject were fairy tales were almost as much a horror story as a children’s tale.
